The numbers 2717 were specifically chosen as a representation of our training philosophy, with a nod to the building's history. Proverbs 27:17 reads, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
We believe that best way for athletes to reach their potential and grow, is to be surrounded by those who desire betterment themselves - iron sharpening iron. It is in our staff's DNA to strive for daily growth, and to instill that in our athletes is one of our callings.
The Foundry's former use in Rothbury was an industrial metal foundry, thus iron and steel casting was at the forefront of the business. While this sharpening process is typically done through friction and high heat, it reminds our staff and athletes that growth is built in the times of discomfort and challenge. The Foundry is a place where athletes are valued and loved, and because of this, our Coaches will call up and challenge for betterment.
